Objectives

               1. To be heritage and a gathering of minds and hearts of all Buddhists in Thailand.

               2. To be offered to His Majesty King on his 80th Birthday Anniversary.

               3. To commemmorate 165 years of Wat Ou Sai Kham.

               4. Merit-making and to enhance the Perfections of Parami for the host and all participants.

 

Preject Tasks.

               - Search for Large Jadeite Jade from Myanmar.

               - Public Relations for financial contribution for acquisition and carving.

               - Carving the Jade Buddha.

               - Buddha-pisek Sacred Ceremony.

Task Schedules

               - June 2003 Contacting and coordinating in searching for raw uncarved Myanmar jade

               - September 2003 Acquisition and transporting the jade from Myanmar to Chiang Mai

               - October 2003 - July 2004 Commencement of Carving of the Myanmar Jade

               - July 2004 Placing the Buddha Relics into the Crown Top Knot of the Phra Buddha Sihing Jade and Buddhapisek Ceremony.

Expected Results

               1. To be a center of the heart and mind for all Thai Buddhist

               2. For all Thai Buddhist to affirm their loyalty to His Majesty the King in his role as the Foremost Benefactor of Buddhism in Thailand.               

               3. For all Buddhist Sangha and lay-people to celebrate 165 years of Wat Ou Sai Kham

               4. To build and enhance Perfections of Merit through Merit Making for all participants.
