Phra
Sihing Jade Buddha or in short Phra Sihing Jade at Wat Ou Sai Kham
is a Buddha Image made from natural jade (Jadeite - commercial Jade).
The Jade Buddha is of many colors : sky blue grey and purple on
then left shoulder ; green color on the serene countenace passing
the chest and passing onto the seat; white circular spots on the
left knee. Jadeite Jade has a hardness scale of 7, which is considered
by the Chinese as attaining the essential qualities and auspicious
characteristics of FU,LOK,SIEW (Good Fortune, Power/wealth, Good
Health (longevity). The source of uncarved Jade Buddha boulder comes
Phakan, Khachin State and was auctioned in Mandalay, Myanmar.
The image depicts the posture of the Buddha conquering Mara - the
evil one; is of Lanna style (Sihing 1) - with dimensions 29 inches
base and 41 inches height, weighs 900 kg. The raw uncarved jade
weigh 2,572 kg and is of natural jadeite jade and the Jade Buddha
is the largest Myanmar Jade in Thailand . The Supreme Patriach of
Thailand, Somdet Phra Nana Sangwara Somdet Phra Sangha Raj, Wat
Bowon-niwet, Bangkok, bestowed BUDDHA
RELICS in a Gold Case which is placed in the Royal Crown of
the Jade Buddha, and also confered
upon the Jade Buddha Image the Royal Name for all Buddhist in Chiangmai
, Thailand and the world.
Jade
is known in China as the stone of heaven. It is regarded as symbolising
health, morality, wisdom, and honesty.

Phra Buddha Sihing Jade of Perfections of Virtures is created through
the faith of Angels and the people. The Purity of the Buddha
Image is offered to Bhumibol The Great.
